How SheetFix handles
your information.

Plain English, no legal jargon. If you're handing over a spreadsheet that contains business information, here's exactly what happens to it.

⚠ Important — before you submit

Do not submit confidential, private, payroll, customer, pricing, or commercially sensitive information through the free brief form. The brief form uses AI to analyse the description you type — your spreadsheet file is not required at that stage. If your sheet contains sensitive data, describe the issue in general terms or use dummy examples. If you're unsure, email SheetFix first and ask.

What SheetFix collects

When you use SheetFix, the following information may be collected:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your business name, if you provide it
  • A description of your spreadsheet issue, as entered in the brief form
  • Your spreadsheet file, if you choose to send it as part of a paid job
  • Any information contained inside that spreadsheet file

The brief form does not require you to upload a file. Your spreadsheet is only needed once a job has been agreed and you're ready to proceed.

How your file is used

Your spreadsheet file is used for one purpose: to complete the job you've asked for.

  • Files are not sold, shared with third parties, or reused for other clients
  • Files are not turned into templates or used as examples without your permission
  • Client data is not used for marketing
  • Your files are not used to train AI models by SheetFix
  • Files are only reviewed to understand, fix, rebuild, or improve your spreadsheet
How AI is used

The free brief on the Get Started page uses AI to review the written description you provide. Your spreadsheet file is not involved at this stage.

Because the brief form passes your typed description to an AI tool, you should not enter confidential, private, payroll, customer, pricing, or commercially sensitive information into it. If your spreadsheet contains sensitive data, describe the issue in general terms — for example, "a payroll sheet with formula errors" rather than pasting actual figures or names.

Where AI tools are used to support analysis, formula work, structure, or documentation during a paid job, SheetFix checks the output before sending anything back to you. The finished spreadsheet is reviewed before delivery.

File retention and deletion

Files are kept only as long as reasonably needed — to complete the job, answer any follow-up questions, and meet basic business and admin requirements.

If you'd like your files deleted, email sheetfix.nz@gmail.com and SheetFix will remove them.

Third-party tools

SheetFix uses common business tools to operate — including email, cloud storage, spreadsheet software, website forms, and AI tools. These are standard tools used by most small businesses and service providers.

SheetFix does not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
